在HDU的时候，那个男性急救医生在我的右手内肘插管子，他要求插最粗的 cannula, 我问他为什么？他说这样的话紧急注射药物会快些。有理有据。针刺进去的时候出了一针管的血。在此之前，刚到HDU时，左手臂相应处也被插入了另一根，我至今不理解这一根存在的作用。
左手的这根导管给我之后注射transparent 带来了巨大的痛楚。
血压一直在80/40徘徊，进入ICU马上被推入CT，冰冷的房间里站着好几个兴奋的、跃跃欲试的、讲着一口流利英语的年轻亚裔医生，其中一个男的先告诉我马上要试打transparent 了，很疼，我不由自主地疼地叫了出来，他停止注药，Is it resistance? 我如实回答:”当你停药后就不疼了。” 随后他与其余的年轻医生们先进入隔离室，告诉我要开始正式注药了，这次疼痛度是10 out of 10。可以喊。
顾不上仪态，在短暂的注射过程中我一直在喊叫， 它非常有效地让我忘却了疼痛和恐惧……
不多久，这群年轻医生们出来了，笑着、兴奋地交流着，看着他们的笑脸，我一瞬间遐想着如果我是他们其中的一员，是否也会像他们那样？那时我心里觉得最幸运的是我熬过来了。
从急救初始, 我手脚一直冰凉。在这冷冰冰、毫无一丝人情味的房间里，我身边始终站着一位ICU护士，R. 没想到，是他，这个异国它乡、和我毫无关系的陌生人在我最无助的时候给了我一丝温暖，他搓着我冰冷的手和脚，一边自言自语，太冰了，太冰了，我帮你搓搓；也是他，在那个夜晚，在我哭喊着拒绝医生给我小手臂做ART Line和颈部插静脉管，又最后被迫遵循后不断给我打气和加油。在写下这些时，我的眼泪在眼眶里打转……最终不争气地流了下来…… 在我心底，这里是我家……
此刻想来，鲜明的对比让我觉得无比地恶心和憎恶……
这段刻骨铭心的经历憾动了我这40多年一直坚守的原则和信念……
